Welcome to Research as Evidence

Established in 2004, we are a research and evaluation company with a simple intention:

Inspirational Research for Policy Delivery

We generate evidence from precise, rigorous, and practical approaches to research, evaluation and analysis that clients understand and put into practice whatever their research background. We can conduct all forms of quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation using a range of research techniques – questionnaires, interviews, discussion groups, consultation techniques, and online surveys.

Our consistently high quality research and evaluation service supports a practical route into policy development and delivery, and we are proud that two thirds of our work is repeat business from satisfied clients.

Our work covers these broad subject areas, but we are always happy to work beyond these areas:

  • Commissioning and Procurement Practice;
  • Education and Training – Schools, Post 16, Regeneration;
  • Labour Market Intelligence;
  • PE and School Sport and its role in Community Development;
  • Skills – including Employer Engagement;
  • Social and Demographic Statistics;
  • Social Inclusion – Homelessness, NEET, BAMER, Disability;
  • Voluntary and Community Sector.

We work with a broad range of clients across the public and voluntary and community sectors including central and local government, charities and trusts, education and training organisations, economic development and regeneration agencies, and representative bodies. Our clients page has more details.

Our network of associates and subcontractors also means we are able to take on larger research or evaluation projects. Research as Evidence is able to pull together a highly skilled team, or can work with other research agencies to deliver larger scale projects.

If you’d like to know more about the kinds of research and evaluation services we can offer, please see our pages on project experience, and previous clients, or contact us directly using the contact section.

All our research work adheres to the Market Research Society Code of Conduct.

We look forward to working with you.

Simon Tanner, Research Director
